Foundation and beginnings (1934)
Tekton Immobilien was founded in 1934 by a visionary entrepreneur who recognized the importance of stable and professional real estate management.
The name "Tekton" comes from ancient Greek and means, among other things, "master builder" or "carpenter". These terms are in line with the core of the real estate industry - the construction and maintenance of high-quality residential and commercial properties. Today, the word "tectonics" also recalls these roots, as it describes the science of joining components together to form a whole. The company focused on property management early on and quickly developed into a respected service provider in the greater Zurich area.
In 1981, René Salm was appointed director and co-shareholder of the company. Over the years, he increased his shareholdings and took over the company as sole shareholder in 2000.
The core business of Tekton Immobilien AG is the management of properties. We are also happy to take on construction management for renovation projects, such as the renewal of facades, flat roofs and heating systems, as well as the installation of plastic windows and the renovation of kitchens and bathrooms. We are also happy to support you in the sale of properties.
As a small company with flat hierarchies, we attach great importance to personal contact between our managers and the property owners. This direct exchange enables us to respond individually to the needs and wishes of the owners and to provide them with all information first hand.
A New Era (2024)
In 2024, a significant change in company management occurred: long-time owner René Salm sold the company to entrepreneurs Marc and Konrad Schwitter. With their extensive experience and entrepreneurial thinking, they bring fresh ideas and new strategies to the company. The Schwitter's are committed to preserving Tekton Immobilien's legacy while exploring new growth opportunities.
