The mortgage reference interest rate will remain unchanged at 1.25% on September 2, 2026. It has been at this level since September 2, 2025.

On June 14, 2026, the voters of the Canton of Zurich cast their ballots on three significant housing policy proposals. The results show that the population desires solutions for the strained housing market but rejects far-reaching interventions in the real estate market.
